Glock Gen 4 40 - I call the F-350 a weapon. It's a ridiculous amount of gun for most everyday users, and usually the gun doesn't go to town. It's just easy football. But the reason the F350 was built is because users who know what to do do a great job. Loads can be heavy, hauled over long distances or just transported.

The G40 Gen4 is chambered in a 10mm MOS configuration and combines a full 6-inch barrel for improved velocity with a 15-round magazine capacity. The G40 Gen4 in MOS configuration is a powerful but easily portable pistol; perfect for farmer, hunter and shooter sports. The handgun has been given to the hunter as the ultimate choice in semi-automatic game gun and has proven to be capable of taking down game such as Whitetail Deer, Russian Boar and even Feral Hogs.

The new Glock pistol cases are a big step up, but I'd argue the G40 is bigger than that. Opening it, it happened almost by accident because of the contents. Everything comes back to chance, just make sure you brush up on your Tetris skills.

I expected the Glock to be heavier given its size, but the gentler giant was already over 28 inches. Now I wouldn't even call her beautiful in comparison to her size. The pistol is heavy to unload and from the long slide, but it balances when the magazine is inserted (about 40 inches). As long as the red dot isn't on top, I've found neither during long shooting sessions.

The powder itself is great. They don't even use straps with little hands. My wife, who can hold a medium pin G17 9mm reasonably well, has a hard time getting a strong grip and reaching for the trigger at the same time. My medium-sized hands found the smaller holster more comfortable, but the medium back holster was the most convincing since I tend to slide and hold the gun high. Unlike other competition-oriented Glock cards, the G40 does not have an extended slide.

I'm sure it will be mentioned a few times, but for portability purposes, the Glock 4 Gen. Grippy finger grips (which work for me), square shaped grip grips (which I also like), a larger, inverted magazine release, and a very short trigger guard for the middle finger. It comes with standard Glock adjustable sights (which are useful, but horrible), and interestingly, the rear sight covers the back of the slide a bit. Not sure if this is an engineering inspection, but it's annoying for "perfection".

The MOS system or "Modular Optical System" is the latest and I have found it to be a wonderful addition to the Glock family. Introduced by its smaller brothers, the G40 and 9mm/.40, optical ammunition is cut from the factory to the slide. By no means is it necessary, as the aftermarket has done this for years, but it is useful and really helps make "perfect" closer to perfect.

Author's Note - The PFI optics sold separately by Pride Fowler are not compatible with the MOS system. When installing one of the scopes, the optic sits further forward to actually fit into the slide of the rifle to be aimed. The MOS testing system (not pictured) gives the Trijicon a small onion.

Typically, those who want this functionality must either purchase a commercial slide, have it milled, or use an adapter plate that mounts to the scope. A business loan has at least a few advantages. Since it is already loaded into the milling machine, it is easy and cheap to add sections, the cut area can be sent blank, and it provides tighter tolerances than individual machine loads.

The MOS mounting area is located in front of the rear rear sight. When mounted, it comes with a flush plate and a figure that fits the slide. The combination is excellent and will only mark those with a strong sight or close to the gun that can get the perspective. The plate is held in place by two screws and is easily removed to install the optic. The adapter slides and the perspective is selected for the flat plate. Voila.

After the installation will be the cause of another problem. Click on the views of the workshops with all the testimonials. Given the free crown injection, another shock from Glock. I know there are a lot of aftermarket systems out there, but at least Glock could have tried.

If someone has shot a 10mm before, there is nothing surprising about the Glock's performance. Cartridge, I have a daughter like him. 40 S&W. There is something to be afraid of that the dual spring and heavier slide help with support, but not so much that I can move on to another paragraph.

Accuracy remains normal for my abilities with the ball, but the longer sight radius helped narrow it down a bit to just over 1.5 inches at 15 yards (Liberty Ammunition 180 grain RNFP) using iron sights (I shoot about 2 with the G19). Adding an optic (supplied by PFI – detailed review to come later), I was able to lower it a bit more and narrow it to 2.0″ at 25 yards.

As with almost all the reviews written on the Glock, the trigger is long, soft, and the glock is stiff. However, I'm not a fan of this because Glock decided to remove the cartridges in most of their other guns. This really accentuates the passive safety, which after three magazines really caused discomfort in my trigger finger. After 100 rounds, he absolutely hated it. Of course, individual preference rules the day, but this is one Glock that needs an aftermarket transition in my opinion.

Fortunately, the MOS system really shines in the gun. True to the purpose of the bullets, the addition of the scope makes this a "long" gun with real hunting potential. For larger or faster looking targets, the red dot flashes on the gun. With better trigger control or a better trigger switch, the G40 could live up to the Glock's excellent hunting pistol conditions.

However, I don't want to require a longer loop from the barrel than most. 10mm loads are usually "cut out" at the factory.

Author's Note: While Glock specifically disapproves of this practice, the .40 S&W could be shot through the 10mm, if not more pleasingly due to the improved slip in powder mass ratio. Glock points out that this voids your warranty, and rightly so, because someone shoots outside of their proper range. TFB and I do not recommend doing this at home.

The problem with listing Glocks is that they are bullets. Nothing is ever known about them, so writers are left searching for prose. It's no different. The G40 is essentially a Gen 4 Glock, but much larger. It's a great gun for those who want or need a 10mm. If you don't need 10mm, the trade-off to get to it with a larger grip and bulkier weight is not worth it in my opinion.

On the other hand, the MOS system is highly regarded from a mounting perspective and is a solid step for the conservative Glock company. With simple mounting plates for just about any small red dot possible (not PFI), its universal system worked well, although I'm curious how the various red dot systems recoil so much.

Finally, the combination of both makes the new Glock. It is a true handgun with a 6 inch barrel (although reloading is required to fully utilize this length). Plus, it's sure, the trigger is stupid, and the red sight can be mounted without finding a sliding market or mounting accessories.

So if you need a lot of guns, it's a great job. If you don't need many guns, go with the smaller option and you'll be much happier.
